Since there is a lull in the woodworking, the legs are getting a start. 1×3 rectangular tubing was the material of choice. Thanks to modern technology, the angles we’re not too bad to figure out. The cuts and fit-up were not good. The problem was mainly the saw operator. So, thanks to TIG welding, some metal will need to be added back. Fit-up is important to do the final weld. The goal is to have any visible welds to also look like someone competent did it.
To do the angles, the porta band that was previously mounted on the wall was used. (Porta-band turned vertical) It worked better than holding the saw. I would rather like to get a Swag porta band stand. Sure, a floor standing band stand would be nice. It’s not worth storing for a few uses a year.
